Описание: Противник в 1942 году штурмовал Севастополь почти год, используя титанические орудия и нефтяные снаряды. В плен попали десятки тысяч наших бойцов и поэтому эта оборона часто подается историками как наше полное поражение, при этом забывают, что потери нацистов были все равно больше. Враг считал Севастополь и мыс Херсонес глобальной стратегической точкой "Сердцем мира", и 17 армия вермахта по приказу Гитлера пыталась удержать крепость-порт любой ценой. В 1944 году советские войска, под руководством маршала Василевского, взяли севастопольскую линию обороны за две недели. Сам штурм города занял 4 дня. В этом пекле был и морской пехотинец Георгий Савенков, которому сейчас 88 лет, но он помнит до тончайших нюансов как он со своими товарищами освобождали Севастополь. Он пришел на войну, по его словам, "необстрелянным воробьем", а вышел Победителем, сохранив в своей памяти не только картины жестокости войны, но и острое восприятие красоты, неожиданно выпадавшее на долю солдата. Фильм получил Гран-при VII фестиваля документального кино "Соль земли".
